Hi!
Hi! I am Viktoria, a philosopher at Saarland University.
My research focuses on topics in feminist philosophy, the philosophy of language, metaphilosophy, and metaphysics. Starting April 2026, I will lead the Emmy Noether group 'Gender: Language & Metaphysics' (GLAM). More info coming soon!
I am a board member of SW*IP Germany.
I have recently published papers on the normativity of gender, merely verbal disputes and metalinguistic negotiations. You can find my research here and on my PhilPeople account.
My book (in German, open access) develops an interpretation of the personal identity debate as a merely verbal dispute.
After finishing my PhD at Universität Hamburg in autumn 2020, I worked as an assistant professor/lecturer ("wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin") at Universität Bonn and Technische Universität Dresden, and as a guest professor at Humboldt University Berlin. I have also spent some time abroad, visiting ConceptLab, Oslo, and Arché, St. Andrews. I am a first generation academic, my family runs a bakery.
Besides philosophy, I love tea, wine, whiskey and vegan cooking. I also enjoy reading and gardening, and I care a lot about animal rights. (Until recently, I had a crazy cat called Flensburger.) My partner Moritz is also a philosopher. You can check him out here.
